A rock lullaby for Macy

The Petersens have done it again, turning a number by a hard rock band into a sweet emotion.

I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, the Aerosmith hit, is masterfully redone by that oh-so-very-clever Bluegrass band with the powerful input of Ellen (Haygood) Petersen's wonderful, throaty lead vocals.

Lots of eye candy and ear candy in this video, as always.

Ellen explains, "I saw a mom on TikTok sing this song to her newborn baby and have been singing it to Macy ever since. I brought it to the band to see if it would be a good fit and Emmett arranged it into the sweetest lullaby."

The outro credit roll is sweet stuff too, with young lady Macy already  learning mandolin and guitar as her dad, Mike Haygood, fingers the bass.

I Don't Want to Miss a Thing was released by Aerosmith in 1998 as the theme song for the Michael Bay film Armageddon.
